Disaster Risk Reduction Policy Khyber Pakhtunkhwa
The Disaster Risk Reduction Policy Khyber Pakhtunkhwa provides a comprehensive roadmap to shift the province from a reactive approach to disasters towards a proactive culture of preparedness, risk reduction and resilience. The policy addresses multiple hazards, including floods, earthquakes, landslides, droughts, heatwaves and GLOFs, while promoting early warning systems, climate change adaptation, risk-informed development and stronger community participation. It also places particular emphasis on protecting vulnerable groups and integrating Adaptive Social Protection to help poor and at-risk households prepare for, cope with and recover from disasters.
